Edgardo ''John'' Romo, 36, of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at Union Hospital following a life long battle with juvenile diabetes.
He was a fashion designer in New York for Romo-Moda International, which he founded.
Born June 2, 1965 in Manila, Philippines he was a son of Linda Romo Patton of New Philadelphia, and was a stepson of Dean Patton of Dover.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a 1983 graduate of Dover High School. He had also studied at the New York Fashion Institute of Technology before starting his own brand of clothing.
John is also survived by three brothers: Roy and Lori Patton of Dover
James Patton of Dover and his fiancé Harriet Morris

Three nephews: Tony, Andrew and Tyler Patton
Three aunts: Lolita Peters of Ft. Walton Beach, Fl
Sabrina Scharmack of New Mexico

Grandmother: Betty Romo of Uhrichsville
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at 7:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday two hours prior to the service.
