Edith M. Nigro, 87 of Dover died Monday, March 13, 2000 at Union Hospital following an extended illness.
She retired from GE in Dover after 27 years of service. She had also been a waitress at Helmkamps.
Born November 4, 1912 in Cleveland she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Davis Robinson.
She was active in the Union Hospital Aux. TWIG # 8. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and traveling.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband John Nigro who died on June 26, 1936.
She is survived by two daughters: Joanne and Richard Mathias of Dover.
Shirley and Ross Casella of Titusville, PA.
Son: Nick and Dodie Nigro Sr. of Dover.
Brother: Harry and Frances Robinson of Massillion.
10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her adoptive parents Samuel and Della Brown.
Three brothers: Herbert, Paul and Ed Robinson
Two sisters: Gertrude Fye and Pearl Robinson
Two infant grandchildren
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2000 at 10:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Lu Ann Youngman officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Dover. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
