Edith N. Doyle

Edith N. Doyle, 76, of 707 Race St., Dover, Ohio passed away Friday, January 12, 2001 in her home following an extended illness.

Born Edith Nadine Mains on December 17, 1924 in West Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Clara and Thomas Mains.

Edith married her now deceased husband, Harold “Pat” Doyle on February 7, 1947. She was a lifelong homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her handicapped daughter, Deedra.

In her immediate family, Edith is preceded in death by her brother, Skipper Mains.

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by three sons; Patrick, Thomas, and Jack all of the area; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Also surviving are sisters, Erma Parks and Katherine Stein of New Philadelphia and her brother, Harold Mains of Akron.

At Edith�(TM)s request, there will be no formal ceremony. A brief graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover.
