Edna D. Rufener, 100, of Dover died Monday, August 13, 2001 at Park Village Health Care Center.
She had worked at the Quaker Oats Co. in Akron before becoming a homemaker.
Born September 5, 1900 in Monroe County, Ohio she was a daughter of the late John and Clara Fuchs Kasserman.
She was a member of St. Paul's Ruslin Hills United Church of Christ and enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband William Rufener who died in 1983.
She is survived by a son: Loren and Patricia Rufener of Dover
Daughter: Shirley and Gene Arnold of Dover
Sister: Minnie Straub of Dover
Brother: Earl Kasserman of Cadiz
Daughter in law: Trudy Rufener of Ft. Myers, FL
9 grandchildren, 13 great grand and 2 great great grandchildren
She was also preceded in death by a son: D. Dean Rufener
Great grandson: Robert M. Rufener
Two brothers: Harry and Gene Kasserman
Two sister: Laura Ruby and Ida Backe
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2001 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. C. Edwin Houk officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. A reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center following the interment. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
