Edna "Jean" Fox

Edna "Jean" Fox, 84, of New Philadelphia died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Schoenbrunn Health Care Center.

She had retired in 2001 from Union Hospital as a Patient Registration Clerk. Following her retirement, Jean still enjoyed volunteering at the hospital and bloodmobile.

Born June 2, 1925 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Walter and Edna Goettge Kinsey. A son, John M. Fox also preceded Jean in death.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Jean loved following the Indians and Browns, and would travel out of state to catch an Indians game. She also enjoyed being outdoors and planting flowers around her home.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Jean will be sadly missed by her children, David (Carolyn) Fox Sr. of Brightwood and Nancy E. Fox of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, David Fox Jr., Lori Harding, Pamela Norman and Michael Gaskill; nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Dr. Mary Burkhart officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
