Edna M. Krebs

Edna M. Krebs, 108, of New Dawn Health Care Center, and a long-time resident of E. Tenth St., Dover, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Apr. 10, 2005.

Born May 25, 1896, in Stone Creek, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Brown King. Edna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a charter member of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Dover, where she taught Sunday school for many years and belonged to the Foursquare Women International. Edna enjoyed quilting and gardening and, especially, spending time with her children and grandchildren, including great and great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Fred Kleinhen of Rootstown, with whom Edna made her home for a time before she entered New Dawn; a son, Charles Krebs of New Philadelphia; two daughters-in-law, Wilda Krebs of New Philadelphia, and Marilyn Krebs of Starr, SC; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Homer Krebs, on Jun. 21, 1970; two sons, Donald and Paul Krebs; two daughters-in-law, Ruth Marie and Wilma Krebs; four sisters and three brothers.

A service celebrating Edna's life will be held Wednesday, Apr. 13, at 11 a.m., in the Foursquare Gospel Church, with Pastors David Wing and Ron May officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in the church. Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, 803 N. Wooster Ave., Dover, on Tuesday, Apr. 12, 6-9 p.m., and on Wednesday, 10:30-11 a.m., at the church.
