Edward K. "Ed" Estep, 47, of Dundee, died Thursday, February 7, 2008, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born, September 27, 1960, in Columbus, Ed was a son of the late William and Delsie Basham Estep. He attended Buckeye Valley High School in Delaware, and served honorably in the United States Navy. Ed was employed as a construction worker, until injuries suffered in an automobile accident in 1990 left him unable to work.
Ed was a member of the United Freewill Baptist Church in Massillon, where he assisted with the youth choir. He enjoyed boating at Salt Fork State Park, and hunting in years passed. Ed also liked to travel, especially going to the beach. Most of all, Ed loved his children and grandchildren and time spent with them.
Survivors include his wife, Debra McCarty Estep, whom he married on March 7, 1992; three daughters, Tiffany (Steve) Marcurella of Dundee, Brittany (Josh) Beall of Newcomerstown, and Kara McQuaid at home; a son, Logan Estep also at home; three grandchildren, Sidney Beall, Tori and Mya Marcurella; two sisters Jane (Kenny) Lawry of Galena, and Linda (Charles) Chapman of Logan; a brother, William (Rita) Estep Jr. of Sunbury; brother-in-law, Jeff McCarty of Dundee; aunts, uncles, cousins and several nieces and nephews; and good friend, Dave Adkins Jr. of Dundee.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a brother, Marvie Estep; and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glen and Vivian McCarty.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, February 10, 5 - 8 p.m. A funeral service for Ed will be held Monday, February 11, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor David Adkins Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a reception in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
