Edward L. "Turk" Robinson, 81 of Mineral City died Thursday, December 30, 1999 at his home following an extended illness.
He retired in 1975 as an Elementary School Teacher having taught at Lake, Dover South and New Cumberland Elementary Schools.
Born January 1, 1918 in Rainelle, West Virginia he was a son of the late Elmer and Mamie Burns Robinson.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bolivar, Tuscarawas Valley Ruritans, Midland Trail Lodge No. 166 A.F. & A.M. in Rainelle, West Virginia; Mineral City American Legion and was a Navy pilot during WW II.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine E. Bradley Robinson who died on September 13, 1989.
He is also survived by two daughters: Gerry and Richard Fox of Strasburg.
Donna and Harry Headrick of Medina.
5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2000 at 11:00 am in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Bolivar with Pastor Dan Schaefer officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg where the New Philadelphia V.F.W. will conduct Military Graveside Services. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Sunday from 2-4 pm.
