Eileen Bambeck

Eileen Huffman Bambeck, 88, of Dover passed away on March 23, 2011 at Park Village Health Care Centre following an extended illness.

Born on August 14, 1922 in Stark County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Florence McFeeders Huffman.

Eileen was a graduate of the Bolivar High School class of 1940. On January 8, 1943, she married the love of her life, James Bambeck, who preceded her in death on July 30, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Platt Huffman.

After 15 years of service, Eileen retired from the former Office Appliance Store in Dover.

She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover and an active member of the Tuscarawas County Senior Center where she enjoyed playing cards. Her favorite pastime was the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Eileen will be sadly missed by her daughter; Sharon Sackett of Blairsville, Georgia; two sons, Jack (Cathy) Bambeck of Dover, Mack (Kay) Bambeck of Dover; sister, Rose Ann McIlvaine of Dover; her sister in-law, Ann Huffman of Doylestown, Ohio, eight grandchildren, Jeffery (Cindy) Sackett, Kelly (Andy) Pyle, Denise (Doug) Adams, Craig (Glenda) Bambeck, Doug (Faith) Bambeck, Jason (Jodi) Bambeck, Jennifer (Richard) Everett, and Marcie (Charles) Castricone; along with 18 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Eileen's life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Michael Lowry officiating. Interment will be at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 6-8 pm.
