Eileen L. Abrecht

Eileen L. Abrecht, 91, formerly of Dover, died peacefully Wednesday morning, October 13, 2010, in her Strasburg home.

She was born August 17, 1919 at Parral, the daughter of the late Rudy & Emma Heim Fox.

Eileen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Winfield. She liked being outdoors and really enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, as well as golfing.

On October 21, 1939, she married Otto Abrecht. The couple was married for 59 years before his passing on January 20, 1999. Along with Otto and her parents, three brothers preceded Eileen in death.

Surviving family members include: two sons, Bruce (Carol) Abrecht of Dover and Jeff (Patricia) Abrecht of Gainesville, FL; a daughter, Patty (Robert) Feutz of Dover; a sister Kathleen Spidell of Dover; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her furry friend Noel.

Pastor Ellen Mills will lead a service celebrating Eileen's life on Sunday, October 17, at 3:00 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Immediately following the service, a fellowship meal for family and friends will be served in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
