Elaine Margaret Pietro

Elaine Margaret Pietro, age 85 of Snellville, GA, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020, at her home with her devoted husband by her side. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Renzi. Elaine is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald Pietro; son, Byron (Nancy) Pietro; grandson, Thomas (Maggie) Pietro; and a half sister, Carol Dull of Wisconsin.

Elaine lived in North Canton, Ohio, before moving to Georgia in 1987. She was born June 26, 1935 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ray and Elsie Hickman Norris. She was a 1953 graduate of East Sparta High School. Upon graduating, she was employed by the U.S. Ceramic Tile Company, where she assisted in the manual preparation of payroll records for 1200 employees.

Elaine was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lilburn, GA. She enjoyed the daily simple pleasures of being a wife, mother and grandmother. A kind, sweet gentle person, she always recognized the positive side of everyone she knew. Elaine was an avid bible reader, thrifty, excellent seamstress, homemaker, and caregiver. Her hobbies were gardening, playing her organ, and a variety of crafts.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 22nd starting at 11:00 am in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery at Dover with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating.
