Eleanor F. Leonetti

Eleanor F. Leonetti, age 100, passed away on January 7, 2024, at the New Dawn Health Care Center in Dover, Ohio. She was born on January 2, 1924, in Moorestown, New Jersey, to the late Frank Bonaventura and Teresa Carpenter.

On September 4, 1946, she married Sandy Leonetti.  He preceded her in death on June 15, 2012.  

She spent the majority of her career at Bridgeport Metal Goods in Connecticut. After dedicating 27 years to the company, she retired as a packer. Her strong work ethic and commitment were admired by her colleagues and supervisors alike.

Outside of her professional life, Eleanor had a deep passion for knitting. Her nimble fingers effortlessly brought countless pieces of warmth and comfort into being. From cozy scarves to intricate blankets, her creations were both practical and heartfelt.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Bonaventura and Teresa Carpenter. She was also preceded by five beloved siblings who had passed away before her. 

She leaves behind her beloved children; Diane Springer of Dover, Sandy (Laura) Leonetti, and Bill (Faye) Leonetti, both of Terryville, Connecticut; along with 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
