Elizabeth "Betty" Armstrong

Elizabeth “Betty” Armstrong, 99, formerly of Mt. Vernon and an eight year resident of the Hennis Care Centre of Dover, died Tuesday, November 16, 2004 in the center.

Born October 14, 1905 at Amity, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Albert and Grace Loney Doup.

She was a member of the Amity Methodist Church.

Betty was preceded in death her husband, Raymond J. Armstrong, who died in 1988.

Survivors include: a son, Dick (Pat) Armstrong of Leesville Lake; three grandchildren, Murray Armstrong of Amity, James Armstrong of Hilliard, Susan (Jeff) Border of Dover; a great grandchild, Elizabeth Lloyd of Green.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by: a brother, George Doup; and a sister, Julia Doup Motz.

A public graveside service will be held Friday, November 19, at 11:00 a.m. in the Amity Cemetery at Amity, Ohio.
