Elizabeth "Tag" Walker, 96, of Dover died Friday, September 23, 2016 in the Park Village Health Care Center.
Born March 13, 1920 in Uhrichsville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Stone Page. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Benjamin H. Walker on August 17, 1988 and sisters, Louise Burbage and Sophie Lemon.
She had been a cook at the former Espenschied Restaurant and was a caregiver for the Menapace and Johnson families. Elizabeth was a member of the St. Mark's AME Zion Church in Dover where she was a Deaconess, President of the Missionary Society and was a member of the Pilars Club and the Tuscarawas County Senor Center. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, cooking and making floral arrangements.
Elizabeth is survived by her brother, John Page of Uhrichsville; five Godchildren; many nieces and nephews, especially her niece, Valerie Lemon of Akron; special friends, Amanda McCockran and Mary Amistadi.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 27 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Phyllis Lemon Bush officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
