Elsie F. Resh

Elsie F. Resh, 86, of Strasburg passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born in Dundee on December 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late George and Forrest (Holderbaum) Sexton. On November 1, 1947 she married George “Jack” Resh, who preceded her in death on July 28, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her brother; William Sexton; sister, Mildred (Darrel) Gates; and brother in-law, George Korosedes.

Elsie attended Dundee High School. She worked at JCPenney, Kreisher Drug Store, and was a waitress at the Manor Restaurant in Strasburg. Elsie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and bake for her entire family and will be remembered for her delicious pies. She was a non-denominational Christian.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters; Bonnie (Clifford) Bronson of Strasburg, Denise (Dennis) Fruitig of Dover; grandsons, Brock Bronson of Strasburg, and Kyle (Regan) Simmons of Atlanta, GA; sister, Sarah Korosedes of N. Canton; her favorite granddogs, Susie and Lexi; along with several nieces and nephews.

In honoring Elsie’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Interment will take place next to Jack at Grandview Union Cemetery.
