Emily N. Dietz

Emily N. Dietz, 85, of New Philadelphia died Monday, October 20, 2014 at Union Hospital.

Born January 29, 1929 in Staten Island, New York she was a daughter of the late Sigurd and Catherine Davison Nylund. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph W. Dietz Jr; brother, Thomas Nylund and sister, Elizabeth Hothem.

Emily was the owner and operator of E & J Cleaning Service and a member of the Dover Congregation of Jehovah Witness. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, but most importantly, she loved taking care of her family. Emily treasured the time while talking to people about God's Kingdom and sharing Bible scriptures with them, especially Revelations 21:4.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother Emily will be sadly missed by her children, Kathy (Michael) Watts of Colorado, Patricia (Joe) Stillion of New Philadelphia, Rebecca (Mark) Watts of Colorado, Emily (David) Whiting of New Philadelphia and Eric (Tammy) Dietz also of New Philadelphia; sister, Mary (Lou) Whitaker of Navada; grandchildren, Jonathan and Joshua Watts, Jenny Harris, Ben and Tim Stillion, Jason and Chris Watts, Heather Rowe, Melissa Sprouse, Bonny Anderson and Zachary and Mia Dietz and nine great grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 1:00 pm in the Dover Congregation of Jehovah Witness at 1212 Kelly St. NW, New Philadelphia with Steven Regula officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the Kingdom Hall on Saturday from 11:30 to 1:00.
