Emma Joyce Potts

Emma Joyce Potts, 68, of Midvale passed away on July 26, 2021 at Mercy Select Specialty in Canton following an extended illness.

Born on March 17, 1953 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Llewellyn and Ella (Smart) Blunt. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

She enjoyed crafting and was a member of The Salvation Army.

She will be sadly missed by her children; Roy (Melinda) Potts of New Philadelphia, Sara (Jeremy) Conway of Midvale, and Jake Potts (Mary K. Stahl) of Midvale; her granddaughter, Naomi Joyce Potts of New Philadelphia, a great-granddaughter; her brother, Ernest Blunt; and two sisters, Alice Renicker and Doris Ricer.

A celebration of Emma’s life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 1:00 pm with Pastor John Stevenson officiating. Friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek. The family will gather at the Midvale Park Pavillion following the service of committal. They ask that guests bring a covered dish.
