Emma Lois Green Horner

Emma Lois Horner, 96, of Dover died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Country Club Center.

Born August 14, 1910 in Dennison, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Bernardino and Antonia Fulvi Nardi. She was also preceded in death by three husbands, Pasquale Buonpadre, John H. Green and John Horner; brother, Anthony J. Nardi; sister, Mary R. Curtiss and grandson, William Wellington, Jr.

Emma was a Deputy Clerk and Trustee for the Tuscarawas County Court, Southern District in Uhrichsville having served under five judges. She had also worked at Montgomery Ward during the 1960�(TM)s and was a co-owner, with her husband John Green, of the Snack Shop Restaurant at Dennison in the 1950�(TM)s.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia and was also a member of the Business and Professional Women�(TM)s Club and the Tuscarawas County Democratic Women.

Emma is survived by two children, Gloria (William) Wellington of Silver Spring, Maryland and Richard Green of Vallejo, California; grandchildren, Patricia (Peter) Nicoll of Middleburg, Virginia, Matthew Wellington of Silver Spring, Maryland, John Wellington of Columbia, Maryland, Mary Catherine (Michael) Hunt of Roanoke, Virginia, Thomas (Sophie) Wellington of Chevy Chase, Maryland, Lisa Mogannam of Benicia, California and Christopher Green of Sunnyvale, California; great grandchildren, Ryan Hunt, Chloe Hunt, Nicolas Wellington, Charlotte Wellington, Cole Mogannam and Madison Mogannam; nieces and nephews, Larry P. Nardi, Sr., Ben Nardi, Cindy K. Nardi and Christina Curtiss all of Dennison; several great nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 10:30 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor George Schlegel officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary�(TM)s Cemetery at Dennison. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at New Philadelphia on Friday from 6-8 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 7:45 pm.
