Emma M. Myers, 91, of Dover passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2014 at Park Village Health Care Centre following an extended illness.

Born July 24, 1922 in Somerdale, she was the daughter of the late James and Clara (Miller) Hardwidge. Emma was a graduate of the Dover High School Class of 1940. She celebrated 58 years of marriage to Wilbert Myers, who preceded her in death on November 2, 2000. She is also preceded in death by three brothers; Charles, Fred, and Hughie Hardwidge and four sisters; Georgia McCreery, Mary Hardwidge, Sylvia Locker, and Flora Mullins.

She retired from Miller Studio in New Philadelphia. Emma enjoyed puzzle books and shopping.

She will be sadly missed by her children; Richard Myers of Dover, Sally Beans of East Sparta, Bonnie Russell in New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Terri Beans, Chris Beans, Matt McCoy, Heather Myers; and four great-grandchildren, Erica Beans, Jenn Beans, Caleb Beans, and Hunter McCoy; along with a special niece, Linda Widder.

In honoring Emma's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. A private family graveside service will take place at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care they received from the staff at Community Hospice and Park Village Health Care Center.
