Enos A. Goodwin

Enos A. “Eenie” Goodwin, age 80, of Dover, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021, in Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, following a brief illness.

Born June 4, 1940, at home in New Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Thomas and Daisy Ritenour Goodwin. Enos attended school in New Philadelphia, and went on to serve honorably with the United States Army for nine years, some of that time in Vietnam; he was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received there. Enos enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also liked playing Ohio Lottery scratch-off tickets.

Enos will be dearly missed by his wife, Anita Calhoun Goodwin, whom he married on March 12, 2015; his children, Carl and Kenneth Risley, both of Tuscarawas, Keith Risley of Uhrichsville, Misty (Stanley Jr.) Pullins of Waynesburg, and Lynn (Karl) Thompson of Dover; his grandchildren, Jake, Samantha, Kory, Daniel, Hunter and Cliff Risley, Robert Keller Jr., Dawson Pullins, Troy and Brooke Thompson; his three great-grandchildren; his brother, Richard Goodwin; his brother-in-law, Jim Beatty; and his several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Enos was preceded in death by his daughter, Christy West; his four siblings; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William Jr. and Doris Knight.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Thursday, February 11, 5 - 7 p.m.; face masks are required and social distancing must be observed.
