Erma A. Contini

Erma A. Contini, 86, of New Philadelphia died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Union Hospital.

Born April 30, 1921 in Midvale she was a daughter of the late August and Barbara Latti Mattevi. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Michael S. Contini, who died on October 31, 2006; brother, August “Gus” Mattevi and a sister, Rose Buehler.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Christian Mothers, but her favorite activity was taking care of her family.

Erma is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Paul) Reidenbach of Dover; two sisters, Edith Sarchet of Dover and Alma Butler of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Beth (Pete) Justice of Marshallville and Brian (Susan) Reidenbach of New Philadelphia; three great grandchildren, Jacob and Madison Reidenbach and Aaron Justice; five sisters in law, Ann Contini of New Philadelphia, Florence Amicone of New Philadelphia, Jenny Warner of Dover, Nancy Contini of Dover and Margaret Contini of Michigan; two brothers in law, Pat Contini of Midvale and Kenneth Buehler of Stone Creek.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover are handling arrangements.
