Erma V Scherer

Erma V. Scherer, 86, of Strasburg died Saturday, November 5, 2005 at the Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar.

She retired from Applecreek State Hospital and had also worked at Union Hospital and US Quarry Tile in East Sparta.

Born April 24, 1919 in Sandyville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Bertha Dieringer Shuster.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Scherer, who died on October 29, 1996.

She is survived by two sons, Fred (Sandy) Scherer of Bolivar and Steve (Debbie) Scherer of Cincinnati and one grandson, Kurt Scherer.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Finlayson and Bernice Shuster.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Strasburg with Rev. Dana Keirstead officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
