Ervin A. Miller, 60, of Dover died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at his home.
He was the owner of Bee-Jay's Sheet Metal in Dover, where he was well known within the industry for his exceptional eye for detail and quality, especially his custom copper work.
Born November 13, 1948 in Millersburg he was a son of the late Albert and Lovina Coblentz Miller. His son Marty Miller also preceded Ervin in death.
He attended Dover Bible Church and was also a member of the Dover Moose and Zoar Gun Club. Ervin was an avid fan of NASCAR, and was fortunate enough to have attended his last race in Bristol two weeks ago. He also enjoyed taking weekend camping and fishing trips to Lake Erie, as well as fishing in the pond that he built in the front of his home.
A wonderful and giving husband and dad, Ervin will be sadly missed by his wife of 29 years, Bonnie Nicholson Miller; son Chris Miller of Strasburg; daughter, Tonya (husband, Kevin) Bell of New Philadelphia; sisters, Dena (husband, Menno) Mullett of Indiana, Melva (husband, Wayne) Wengerd of Winesburg, Edna (husband, Paul) Miller of Sugarcreek, Miriam (husband, Vernon) Raber of Illinois and Esther (husband, Larry) Troyer of Sugarcreek; brother, Mose (wife, Blanche) Miller of Maryland; grandchildren, Dillon and Jessica Miller, Trent and Tyrel Miller, Dalton, Mason, Shaina and Danica Bell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 10:30 am in the Dover Bible Church with Pastor Ed Scaglione officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover on Friday from 5-8 pm.
