Esther Grabenstetter

Esther Grabenstetter, 93, of Valley City, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 in the New Dawn Retirement Center.

Born April 24, 1924 in Cleveland, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Mochko. Esther was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Grabenstetter on July 14, 1994; along with two brothers, two sisters and her son in law, Glenn Melrose.

Esther retired from Buckeye Local School Systems after 30 years of service as the head cook. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Valley City, and in her spare time, she and Roy enjoyed playing golf, bowling and ballroom dancing.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Esther will be missed by her children, Gail (Jack) Nutter of Dennison, April Melrose of Medina, Ed Grabenstetter of Seville; sister, Mary Pipas of Chicago; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
