Esther M. Eshman, 82, formerly of Dolphin Drive S.E., New Philadelphia, Ohio died Monday, October 22, 2001 in the New Dawn Health Care Center following an extended illness.
She was a former employee of the U.S. Ceramic Tile Company in East Sparta.
Born January 16, 1919 in Dellroy, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Orabelle Dayhuff Whitehair.
Esther was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in New Philadelphia. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid in Somerdale and the Fairfield Twp. Fireman�(TM)s Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis W. Eshman who died December 15, 1992.
She is survived by two daughters Darlene (Dillon) Sears of Somerdale and Agnes (Donald) Crites of New Philadelphia.
Two stepdaughters Fern Thiele of Hemet, California and Faye McFeeders of Strasburg and a stepson, Ronald Eshman of Las Vegas, Nevada.
14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, one great granddaughter, one sister, and two brothers.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:30 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. William Waltz officiating. Interment will be in the New Cumberland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday (today) from 6-8 pm.
