Esther M. Kieffer

Esther M. Kieffer, 82, of 4305 Tabor Ridge Rd. N.E., Mineral City, Ohio died Sunday, April 22, 2001 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover following a brief illness.

She was an employee of the U.S. Ceramic Tile Company at East Sparta for 23 years.

Born October 6, 1918 in Hocking County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Freida Wilson Holcomb.

Esther enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil R. Kieffer who died March 20 of this year.

She is survived by one daughter Roberta (Robert) Blackson of Mineral City.
Two sons Ralph (Viola) Kieffer of Sherrodsville and Willard (Carolyn) Kieffer of Mineral City.

Three sisters Donna Miller and Shirley Ball both of Somerdale and Cora Martin of New Philadelphia
Three brothers Carl (Lily) Holcomb of Mineral City
Delbert (Eleanora) Holcomb and Jim Holcomb both of Dover and her longtime friend and sister in law Lynora Kieffer Anderson of Dover. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and another great grandchildren expected soon.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Kieffer, three sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Milo Baker officiating. Interment will be in the New Cumberland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
