Ethel “Darlene” Ryan, 73, went to be with The Lord, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in the care of her family.
Born March 31, 1944 in Buttermilk, Ohio she was a daughter of the late John and Eileen Hartley Tarleton. Darlene was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ryan of May 27, 1999; brothers, John and Eric Tarleton; sister, Bonnie Tarleton and brother in law, Mike Walters.
Darlene was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt with a giving heart. She spent her life devoted to her family as a stay at home mom and loved baking during the holidays. She also enjoyed making crafts and canning during the winter months. Darlene truly enjoyed quality time with everyone she adored. She will be sadly missed by her children, Beatrice (Paul) McGill of West Virginia, Samantha Hammonds of New Philadelphia, Nicholas Ryan of Dover; siblings, Sandy (Pat) Triplett, Merrell (Ronnie) Dometrovich, Melinda (Jim) Willison, Mary (Terry) Ikey, PK Walters, Raymond (Sam) Tarleton, Danny (Diane) Tarleton, Ronnie (Debbie) Tarleton; grandchildren, Nickie, Cherokee, Bobbie, Alex, Alana, Angela, Dalton (Jana Mae); great grandchildren, Preston, Jada, Kaylee, Syliis, Payton, Anthony Jr., Alicianna and Sauel.
Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Thursday, October 12 from 6-8 pm. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 13 at 10:00 am in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Byesville with David Burrell officiating.
