Ethel L. Anderegg

Ethel L. Anderegg, 88, of Strasburg, died peacefully Saturday, May 13, 2006, in the Park Village Health Care Center, Dover.

Born September 1, 1917 at Hinton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late O.W. & Vada Ellison Hatcher.

Ethel was a devoted member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg.
Over the years she has been active with the church in a variety of ways, from teaching Sunday school, and serving on church council, to acting as treasurer and being a part of the Lutheran Guild.

She enjoyed the outdoors and especially camping and had enjoyed the friendships made be her association with the Tusco Traveleers. She was seemingly always busy with her hands, whether tending to her flowers or making crafts.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Robert Anderegg. The two were married December 26, 1936.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Alice (David) Keppler of Strasburg; two sisters Mary Shonk of Dover, and Etta Lydick of Byesville; a brother, Herb (Phyllis) Hatcher of Dover; four grandchildren, Carrie Preston, Vickie Breckenridge, Jabie Keppler and Robert Keppler; and 7 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by: a daughter,
Nancy E. Anderegg, and 6 siblings.

A ceremony celebrating Ethel�(TM)s life will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Lutheran Church, Strasburg, with Rev. Steven Woyen officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery, Strasburg. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Strasburg on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
