Ethel M. Busby of Burton, Ohio and formerly of Dover, Ohio died Wednesday, August 1, 2001 following a brief illness.
She was the oldest of eleven children of the late Harry and Emma Donley Horstman.
Ethel was married to the late Roy M. Busby on July 30, 1934 and celebrated sixty years of marriage in 1994 before his death later that year. She was a fifty six year resident of Dover, Ohio but lived the last four years in Burton near her son and his family. Ethel was a former employee of Union Hospital in Dover for 21 years. She was a former member of the Puritan Bible Class, Lois Circle, and the First United Methodist Church at Dover.
Her son Paul survives her along with her daughter in law Sherry. She has three grandchildren, Heather and her husband Matt, Luke and fiancé Ali Herbert, and Jody and two great grandsons, Austin and Cory. She is also survived by two sisters, Anne Sickle and husband, Robert of Adena, Ohio, and Gladys McNight of Cadiz, one brother, Craig and his wife Donna of Flushing and sister in law, Gloria Horstman of New Athens.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 3, 2001 at 12:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Dr. David Oliver officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Jewett. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 am to the time of the service.
