Ethel M. Rees

Ethel M. Rees, 83, of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born September 9, 1930 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Chester and Celeste Schum Page. Ethel was also preceded in death by her husband, Donovan Rees on September 20, 2000; two sons, John Orr and Matthew Wayne Rees and a sister, Alta Niger.

Ethel loved to sing and was active with the Sweet Adelines Barbershop Chorus.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Ethel will be missed by her daughters, Bonnie (Otis) Harris of Georgia and Mary Ann Rees and her husband, Scott Hughes of New York City; granddaughters, Angela and Taylor Harris; brother, James (Marilyn) Page of New Philadelphia and special friend, Thelma (Ron) Manghese of New Philadelphia.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There will be no calling hours or services. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Ethel may do so by visiting the on line obituaries and flowers link on the funeral homes website.
