Eugene C. Rice

Eugene "Gene" C. Rice, 52, of Dover passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014.

Born on October 10, 1962 in Dover, he was the son of the late Roy E. Rice and Barbara (Becker) McClintock.
Gene was a 1980 graduate of Dover High School. He worked at Broad Run Cheese House for many years. Gene was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed crafts, woodworking, and was a talented gardener.

He is survived by three children; Zach Rice (Fianc, Ashley DeFranco) of Toronto, Amber and Taylor Rice both of Wooster; four sisters, Terrie (Bryon) Bradshaw of Dover, Cheryl (Eric) Lautzenheiser of New Philadelphia, Lisa (Tom) Smith of Michigan, Amy (Adam) Ritchie of Columbus; his step-mother, June Rice of Michigan; Aunt Karen; nephews, Jesse (Ioana) of Missouri, Brook Moran of Texas, Quinn (Jill) Conner of Dover, Micayla Lautzenheiser of New Philadelphia, Drew Lautzenheiser of New Philadelphia; special nephew, Elijah Lautzenheiser of New Philadelphia; along with other nephews and cousins.
