Eugene R. Templeton

Eugene R. Templeton, 77, of Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center at Canton following a brief illness.

He was a retired truck driver for A. J. Weigand Trucking Inc. at Dover where he worked for 32 years.

Born September 11, 1927 in Minerva, Ohio, he was the son of the late Eugene and Myrtle Beavers Templeton. He was also preceded by one sister, Elaine Hoy and two brothers, Jerry and Leon Felgar.

Eugene was World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Dover VFW and the Dover Moose Lodge. He was an avid golfer.

His wife, Jean VanMeter Templeton died in 1959.

Eugene is survived by two daughters Phyllis (Steve) Runion of Alliance and Bonnie (Gary) Walter of Canton; five grandchildren Shaun, Jamey (Ashley), and Kelly Runion, Kristina (Mark) Kennedy, and Jonathan (Jan) Walter; four great grandchildren Hannah Runion, Nathan Walter, Kaitlyn and Mark Kennedy; one sister, Martha Felgar and two brothers, Ronnie (Martha) Felgar and Murray Felgar.

A funeral service celebrating Eugene�(TM)s life will be held Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Art Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 pm.
