Evelyn B. Popovich

Evelyn B. Popovich, 85, of the New Dawn Retirement Center at Dover and formerly of Canton died Monday, October 3, 2011.

Born November 1, 1925 in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Susanna (Mydock) Popovich.

Evelyn was a retired employee of Gibbs Mfg. Company in Canton.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover and was previously active in the Tuscarawas County Seniors and YMCA.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews Sue (Jerry) Werntz of Strasburg, Jim (Phyllis) Kline of Magnolia, Patrick Kline of Akron, Linda (Jim) Heaton of Brewster, Mark (Georgianna) Kline and Matthew (Barb) Kline both of Bolivar and Valerie Kline (wife of her late nephew) Mike Kline also of Bolivar and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Kline and brother in law, Carl Kline and nephew, Mike.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Matt Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at Massillon. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Thursday from 10-10:45am.
