Evelyn C. Littlepage, 84, of Strasburg died suddenly in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday, November 10, 2012 after injuries she received from a fall.
Born February 17, 1928 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Howard and Clara Espenschied Stilgenbauer. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Pennington in 1952, one sister and three brothers.
Evelyn attended Trinity Gospel Temple in Canton and was an avid baseball fan who loved to watch her Cleveland Indians. She also enjoyed baking and was known for her grape pies.
A wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Evelyn will be sadly missed by her husband, Albert Littlepage with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage on February 17, 2012; children, Alberta (Carl) Nielsen of Arizona, Marsha (Joe) Hudson of Arizona, Lance Pennington and companion, Tony Hawkins of Washington DC, Dana Littlepage and companion, Mark Sexton of Brewster and Todd (Beth) Littlepage of Canton; sisters, Geneve Boyd of New Philadelphia, Yvonne Kerch, Naomi (Ed) Menges and Janet (Dale) Liggett all of Strasburg and Gwen (Ray) Burkhart of Zoar; nine grandchildren including, Eric Littlepage of Florida and Kristen (Don) Schrump of Strasburg; 15 great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Brother Dave Lombardi officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
