Evelyn M. Bitikofer

Evelyn M. Bitikofer, 92, of Dover, died Thursday, February 26, 2004 in the Country Club Retirement Center at Dover where she had resided for the last four years.

Born August 3, 1911 at Wayne Township, she was the daughter of the late Budd and Matilda Lehner King.

Evelyn was a humble woman who took pride in her home and raising her family.

She was a longtime member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ at Dover and had been active in the Blue Star Mothers Club.

For 65 years, Evelyn was blessed to be able to share her life with her late husband Ralph who died August 8, 1997.

Survivors include: Four children; John (Alice Faye) Bitikofer of Dover, Marlene (Ronald E.) Tschudy of Dover, Diane Tygard of Cuyhoga Falls and Mark (Virginia) Bitikofer of Willoughby, eight grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, three brothers; Robert King and Harley King both of Sugarcreek and John King of Texas, and a sister; Cora Dick of Dover.

In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by: three sisters; Bertha, Zelma and Opal and two brothers; Russell and Arthur.

A service celebrating Evelyn�(TM)s life will be conducted Monday, March 1, at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Johns United Church of Christ, Dover with Rev. Steven Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Following the burial, a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall

Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
