Fannie Ayers, 87, of Dover went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 in the New Dawn Retirement Community following an extended illness.
Fannie was a retired employee of the former Alsco Plant in Sugarcreek where she worked for 30 years.
Born August 20, 1926 in Sugarcreek, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Malinda (Schlabach) Miller.
Fannie was a longtime member of the Dover Bible Church in Dover.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Isaac E. Ayers who died on January 21, 2006.
She will be sadly missed by her children Bob, Dianna, and Julie (Zac Ideker); a granddaughter, Claire Katelyn Ideker and a sister, Malinda Miller.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Peter, Milo, Henry and Jonas Miller and six sisters, Mary Ann Miller, Katie Mast, Alma Gingrich, Esther Troyer, Emma Miller and Lydiann Miller.
The family would like to thank the staff and family of the New Dawn Retirement Center for the outstanding care given to their mother during her stay.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 beginning at 11am in the Dover Bible Church with Pastor Luke Holt and Pastor Ed Scaglione officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday from 6-8pm and Tuesday at the church from 10-11am.
