Fern L. Stauffer

Fern L. Stauffer, 76, of North Canton and a former Massillon resident died on Tuesday, April 11, 2000 at Altercare of Hartville following an extended illness.

Born November 11, 1923 in Uhrichsville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Dayton and Delphia Metzger Ankney.

Fern was preceded in death by her husband Max E. Stauffer who died on February 27, 1999.

She is survived by two sons: Thomas and Nancy Stauffer of North Canton
Jeffery and Jackie Stauffer of Massillon

Three daughters: Romona and Robert Findley of Massillon
Patricia and Larry Piggot of Canal Fulton
Cindy and Chris Straight of Massillon

Two brothers: Russell Ankney of Massillon
Clarence ''Red'' and Dottie Ankney of Dover

Three sisters: Ruby and Gus Volpe of Columbus
Elsie Hepner of Wyoming
Gertrude Tarizzi of Kentucky

17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by a son Robert Stauffer and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2000 at 10:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Jeff Mohler officiating. Interment will be at Ridgcrest Memory Gardens.
