Florence L. Vasbinder

Florence L. Vasbinder, 92, of Dover, Ohio died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in Union Hospital at Dover following an unexpected illness.

Florence was born May 25, 1914 in Dover, the daughter of the late William and Emma Spritzbaugh Lengler.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. She enjoyed working puzzles and playing cards and was an animal lover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Hubert” Vasbinder, a son, William “Bill” Vasbinder and three brothers, Roy, Lloyd, and Earl Lengler.

Florence is survived by her daughter in law, Virginia Vasbinder of Dover; five grandchildren, Debbie (Tom) Downing of Dover, Sharon (Shawn) Smith of Alliance, Chris (Sherri) Vasbinder of Dover, Karen (Don) Colvin of New Philadelphia, and Cathy (Ron) Saffell of Dover; a half sister, Katherine “Kitty” Wells of Dover along with thirteen great grandchildren , one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service celebrating Florence�(TM)s life will be held Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Rev. Gary Friend officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10-11am.
