Florence Rayburn, 87, of Dover, died Saturday, October 18, 2003 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.
She was born December 28, 1915.
For many years was an active member of the Salvation Army at Dover and enjoyed participating in the Home League and Sunday school. Florence was an avid gardener and loved spending time outside working on her flowers and feeding the birds. Additionally, she was known to have a soft spot in her heart for animals and always had a pet dog.
Florence was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Swonger who died in 1970. Her second husband, William Rayburn died in 1990.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, Florence�(TM)s body has been cremated with arrangements handled through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover.
A public memorial service will be held Thursday, October 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Social Hall at the Hennis Care Centre in Dover with Sgt. Major Charles W. Burrier officiating.
