Fonta M. “Tena” Miller, 82, of Dover passed away at her home on Friday, June 23, 2017.
Born in Dover on August 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (DiGenova) Penso. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Vince and nephew, Eugene Penso.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1954. On January 19, 1957, she married the love of her life, Max Miller, who survives.
Tena was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. She enjoyed taking care of her rose gardens and going to casinos. She often visited the Mountaineer Casino and the Northfield Park Casino. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Max, she will be sadly missed by her three children; Joel (Gloria) Miller of Dover, Tammy (Kara Brown) Miller of Marysville, Scott (Beth) Miller of Dover; two brothers, Andrew (JoAnne) Penso of Tappen Lake, John (Pauline) Penso of Atwood; her sister, Margie (Reno) Stevanus; along with six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren and was expecting another one soon. She also leaves behind her favorite collie companion, Shiloh.
A graveside service will take place at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 11:00am with Deacon Lyn Houze officiating . There will be no calling hours.
