Francis G. Sacks

Francis G. Sacks, 83 of New Philadelphia died Sunday, November 28, 1999 at the Hennis Care Centre following an extended illness.

He was the president and owner of the Bond Shoe Store in Dover for over 60 years.

Born July 16, 1916 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania he was a son of the late Alexander and Anna Dorko Sacks.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover and was an Army Veteran of WW II.

Francis is survived by one nephew:  Henry Sacks of Alexander, Virginia.

One grand nephew:  Gil Saburny of New Philadelphia.

One grand niece:  Mary Ann Tate of California.

He was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating.  Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover.  Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7-9 pm with Christian Wake Services being held at 8:45 pm.  Those unable to attend may sign the on-line register book for Francis by visiting the 'on-line obituaries' link on our website at www.tolandherzig.com.
