Frank J. Angelo, 87, of New Philadelphia died Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Community Hospice Truman House.
Born December 11, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan he was a son of the late Frank and Florence Di Salvo Angelo. Frank was also preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
He retired from the State of Ohio as a Surveyor. Following his retirement, he worked for Buckeye Career Center for many years. Frank was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the New Philadelphia Elks. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War and in his spare time he enjoyed playing Bocce and Morra.
Frank will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Staci Angelo of New Philadelphia, Tina Angelo of South Carolina, Tisha Angelo of Akron; grandchildren, Paige and Peyton Frankovich.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at 11:00 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia with Fr. Tyron Tomson officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Dennison where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Following the burial, a funeral luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Tuesday from 6-8 pm with Christian Wake Services starting at 7:45.
