Fred Coe McCully, 81, of Bolivar passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the Lodge at New Dawn with his wife and son at his side.
Born October 2, 1937 in Carrollton he was a son of the late Earl and Meryle House McCully. Fred was also preceded in death by his brothers, Lester and Bill McCully and sister, Pat Tucker.
He graduated from Minerva High School in 1957, and immediately enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country for three years. Fred was employed at Qualex, and retired in 2000 after 25 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church in Canton, and in his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, watching OSU football, the Browns and Cleveland Indians.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Lynne Weaver McCully whom he married on October 7, 1989; son, Mark (Jeni) McCully of Orrville; brother, Ralph “Scoo” (Dolores) McCully of Minerva; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and his beloved dogs, Snowball and Lady.
Private graveside services will be held at Dover Burial Park. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Fred may do so by visiting the online obituaries link on the funeral home’s website.
