Galen E. Moser, 72, of Dover, Ohio died Wednesday, February 27, 2002 in his home following a brief illness.
He retired in 1998 from the US Postal Service where he was a rural mail carrier for over 40 years. He began working for the post office at the age of 13. He also served as a facilitator for the post office where he served as a mediator between the employees and the management. He also was self employed for sixteen years.
Born July 13, 1929 in Dover, he was the son of the late Eugene and Pearl Conrad Moser.
Galen was an active member of the Dover Alliance Church where he served on it�(TM)s governing board, choir member, former Sunday School Superintendent, and former elder. He was a 1947 graduate of Dover High School.
He is survived by his wife Maysel Hefner Moser with whom he would have celebrated 52 years of marriage on August 7.
He is also survived by five children Judy (Peter) Colman of Round Lake, Illinois, Jim (Bonnie) Moser and Randy (Vera) Moser both of Dover, Dan (Cheri) Moser of Salem, and Gaye Lynn (Steve) Rogers of Westerville, Ohio. One brother Alvin J. (Jackie) Moser of Tampa, Florida along with thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ervin Moser.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am in the Dover Alliance Church with Rev. Richard Rose officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
