Gary Wayne "Garrett" Bowling

Gary Wayne “Garrett” Bowling, 70, of Sugarcreek, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

Garret was born in Kentucky on August 21, 1949. On July 6, 1983, he married Velda Domer, who preceded him in death on October 27, 2017.

He leaves behind his step-children; Rick Johnson of Dover, Sheri Sundheimer of Dover, and Dale Johnson of New Philadelphia; eleven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Garret enjoyed tinkering with cars and computers. He loved nature and hunting. He looked forward to gatherings with his family and friends. He loved good coffee, home-cooked meals, and snickers bars.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, July 13, 2020, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. The family encourages guests to wear a mask. A private service for the family will take place. In honoring Garrett’s wishes, cremation will take place.
