George E. Kaderly, 90, of Hobbs, N.M., formerly of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000.
He was born on Oct. 30, 1909, in New Philadelphia and married Ruth Ann Gepfert of June 7, 1950, in Coshocton.
He and his family moved to Grants, N.M., in 1958. Mr. Kaderly retired as a self-employed dirt contractor in 1976. He and his wife moved to Eunice in 1997, following health problems. He has been a resident of Merrill Gardens Retirement Home since October of 1999.
A daughter, Wendy Whitaker of Eunice; one sister, Grace Lyons of Strasburg; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews survive Mr. Kaderly.
His wife, Ruth Ann Gepfert Kaderly; a daughter, Nancy Ann Hoskins; and his parents, Grantville and Ida Kaderly, preceded him in death.
Cremation has already taken place under the direction of Memory Gardens Direct Services at New Mexico. A memorial service will be held in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Strasburg on Monday at 10. Pastor Fred W. Gross will officiate, and burial will be in Grand View Cemetery at Strasburg.
