George Sinclair, Jr., age 83, of Strasburg, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in his home following a brief illness.
Born January 6, 1930, in Grafton, West Virginia, he was a son of the late George and Lillian Carlyle Sinclair. George graduated from Grafton High School and went on to work for the Ford Motor Co. at Canton, from which he retired following thirty years of service.
George loved the outdoors and hunted, fished and trapped. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking, using skills passed down to him by his father a cook in the U.S. Navy.
He will be sadly missed by a cousin and his wife, Dave and Lela Sinclair of Grafton, West Virginia; close friends, Scott and Mary Halley of Canton; and many other relatives, friends and acquaintances.
Besides his parents, George was preceded in death by two infant children, Tina Marie and Randy George Sinclair.
A committal service, which is open to the public, will be held Friday (today), July 5, 2013, at 1:30 p.m., in Evergreen Memorial Gardens at Louisville; Community Hospice Chaplain Brian Flood will officiate.
