Gerald R. Booth, 64, of Dover died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at his home following a battle with liver disease.
Born February 11, 1954 in Marion County, West Virginia he was a son of the late Charles and Dorothy Tichenor Booth. He was also preceded in death by two brothers.
Gerald proudly served his country with the United States Army. He was a member, and served as Post Commander, of the Dover VFW and was also a State Commander of the VFW. He was a retired Truck Driver, having worked for several different companies throughout his career.
Gerald is survived by his children, Tina, Gerald II and Clayton Booth all of Canton, Joe Geltz of Dover; brother, John Booth; sister, Mary Hill both of Texas; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his companion, Becky Davis; and his pets, Miss Kitty and Peanut.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Rasheed As-Samad officiating. Immediately following the service, the New Philadelphia VFW will conduct military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 pm.
