Geraldine T. Howell

Geraldine T. Howell, 82, of New Philadelphia died Monday, April 9, 2007 at the Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar.

Born March 1, 1925 in Duncanwood, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Charles and Amanda Bigley Brown. Geraldine was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett E. Howell who died on February 9, 1987; five brothers, James, Earl, Dave, John and Ellis Brown and a granddaughter, Emily Garber.

Geraldine was a homemaker and was an Avon representative having won many awards during her career. She attended Otterbein United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia and enjoyed traveling with the Senior Citizens.

Geraldine will be sadly missed by her son, Larry (Mary Ann) Howell of New Philadelphia; two daughters, Gloria “Jeanne” Sauernheimer of Strasburg and Carolann (Allen) Garber of Baltic; three brothers, Paul (Carolyn) Brown of Flushing, Howard (Virginia) Brown of Maryland and Floyd “Buck” (Gloria) Brown of Wintersville; five grandchildren, Scott Sauernheimer, Kirk Sauernheimer, Timothy Howell, Sarah Henry and Ellis Garber; three great grandchildren; special friend, Gerry Freetag and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Kelly Paul Brown officiating. Interment will be at Brandywine Cemetery. Friends can call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
