Gertrude Faye Hockenberry

Gertrude "Faye" Hockenberry, 76, of Dover passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Union Hospital in Dover.

Born on February 17, 1937 in Littleton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late David Leroy and Mary Pearl (Flaherty) Anderson. She is also preceded in death by two infant sons; Michel and Charles; two sisters, Mary and Goldie; and her brother, Leonard.

Faye was a member of the Dover Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing solitaire and working puzzles.
She will be sadly missed by her son; Mark (Charity) Hockenberry of New Philadelphia; daughter, Deborah Dunn of Massillon; six grandchildren, Junelle, Stephanie, Charity, Nathan, Anthony, and Cory; six great-grandchildren, and one on the way; her sisters, Grace, Loretta, Lucille, Alice Mae, Olive, Ruth, Esther (husband, Vernon) ; her brother, Wayne (wife, Betty); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Faye's life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Randy Chapman officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
